I have been worried about her for about a year since she became sad and started cutting. I tell her all the time that she is beautiful in real life but I feel that she doesnt believe it. She has been posting alot about cutting and wanting life to be over and I cant stand to see her in pain. Am i decieving her by doing this? Please pray for her!
Hi! I do not see anything wrong in this, as long as you’re being encouraging and uplifting! Why don’t you try talking to her about it, talk more than just saying she’s beautiful. Maybe tell her why.
Tell her that God loves her and created her exactly as He intended:
You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.- Song of Solomon 4:7

Remind her how much God loves her.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16
So pray to God about her, lift up her to His hands, and then talk to her. Ask Him to give you the right words to say to help her through this hard time. Just be there for her in whatever way she needs, but remind her how much she is love by God. And how He created her EXACTLY how He wanted her.

And no, I don’t know what you look like but that doesn’t matter. To me or to God. He looks at the heart not at outward appearances.

What are you comparing yourself to? Because have you ever thought that that other person, isn’t you? That ‘beautiful girl’ might spend all her life trying to make her become outwardly ‘attractive’ but she will be spending her whole life missing the point. Who’s judges how we ‘look’? humans do. But that’s not who we are called to live for. We are called to live for God, not the world. So ignore what society says and live from your heart.
Outward beauty only lasts on earth, but inward beauty lasts for eternity.
Remember that, we aren’t here to please others. We’re here to love others, love God, and love ourselves. Why should we love ourselves? Because God created you!! The creator of all the universe, of you and me, of everything we know and have ever dreamt of, created you exactly how He wanted you. Embrace it!! Live by God’s standard of beauty, not the world’s.

It may seem irrelevant, but He hears our cries, He hears our troubles, hurts, trials, pain. Let Him be your confidant to run to. Please don’t hurt your beautiful body. Pray to Him. God is always helping. Trust in Him. Put all of your trust in Him. I will be praying, so will everyone who reads this. If it gets really bad and you think they are going to attempt suicide or to harm themselves, you need to find them help. No question about it. Either contact their parents/guardians or find them help some way or another. I’ll post some phone numbers for help also. Hun, I can’t even imagine how you feel. If I was in that situation, I’d just be there for them, listen when they need it. Remind them that there is hope and that God loves them so much! Keep praying though, the power of prayer is amazing! And let them know that you’re praying for them, it will make them feel like you care. Make sure to let them know how much they are loved by so many people. GUYS PRAY FOR THEM! God bless you.

I can relate very strongly to the person who just posted. I've never actually cut, but I've attempted several times and just can't work up the strength for enough pressure or something. I feel very suicidal at times and I also struggle with porn, lust, and masturbation. Strangely, I find comfort that I'm not the only one. God is strong.
You are definitely not the only one. I’m grateful for them asking for prayer, but I’m also thankful that you had the courage to say this. Thank you. You’re right, God is so so strong. His grace is rich and His mercy is unfailing. And with Him by your side, you are strong too. I will keep telling this until my fingers can’t type anymore…dear, you are loved! Beyond what our minds can grasp. Don’t ever forget that. And next time you feel the urge to hurt yourself, or give into those temptations, pray! Talk to God. He will take every bad thought away in an instant. Trust that He will do that. I’m always here for you if you need me also.

I’m so happy that you’ve found Christ and his love. It’s incredible. We all go through temptations. Every temptation. And it’s difficult, but as a Christian we were never called to have an easy life. It’s a hard road but with God by our side we can do anything!! My dear, take these words to heart…You are loved. You have a God who brings gifts, gifts of forgiveness, and love and repentance. The ultimate gift of eternal life. In the midst of everything you’re struggling with and every thing that has brought you to that point, search for His joy. It’s there. Quiet down your thoughts and listen for God. He’s with you. All the time. He wants you to give all of these worries and anxieties, all of these temptations and sins and give them to him. Cast all of your worries upon Him. Give Him your complete trust and faithfulness. Feel that weight lifted off your shoulders, and then you will feel the joy and the love you have for yourself. It’s there, in every single one of us, just hidden. You are a creation that the King of all Kings has made. You are worthy, You are loved. Feel it in your heart! Praying for you, love.

Please don’t ever do those things. As a Christian, you know of the unfailing love that God has given us and eternal life he offers. I don’t know what the situation is, and if you’d like to come off anon to tell me more about why you’re contemplating on harming yourself I’d love to help. But if you don’t I understand. I just want you to realize how wonderfully you were made. And yes, you probably hear that a lot. Everyone does, you’re beautiful, you’re so worthy. But Listen to me say this, You ARE God’s masterpiece!! He created you specifically for one purpose that ONLY YOU can fulfill! How amazing is that. He’s the King of all Kings. The Creator of absolutely everything, and He is watching over you as we speak. He is loving you like no other. And He will continue to. You might be going through an awful situation that I can’t relate to, and no one can, but I do know this. And I’ve lived this out…God only gives you what He knows you can handle. Any struggle he gives you, any trial. Yes he places it in front of you, and you have to maneuver your way around it and make it through unscathed, but it’s for His glory!! He is there to pick you up when you fall, to put people into your life when you need a lending hand. God gives gifts, it might be through people, it might be through words, it might be through a miracle. But some way or another God will help you through this. I will help you through this if you let me. You have so much to offer! Don’t ever give that up! You are loved. So loved. You are royalty. You are worthy.
